The Cold, Hard Football Facts are getting stronger by the week, which is perfect for prop betting. Here are some of our favorite picks for Sunday.
Breece Hall Over 30.5 Receiving Yards
Breece Hall has been a receiving machine for Aaron Rodgers. He is coming off a 103 yard receiving performance last week against the Steelers. The addition of Davante Adams helps Hall because the opposing secondary has to worry about an extra threat, which opened up Hall for more receiving chances last week.
The Jets will face the Patriots who gave up against the Jaguars last week. They looked terrible on defense, and it seems like Coach Mayo is losing the locker room. The team ranks 24th in Defensive Passer Rating, 17th in Defensive Hog Index and 25th in Defensive Real Passing Yards/Attempt. We don't believe the Patriots will rebound with a great defensive performance, especially after the tough trip back from London.
Rachaad White Over 22.5 Receiving Yards
Without Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, Rachaad White is now the Buccaneers second leading receiver. He is coming off a six catch game against the Ravens for 71 yards with two touchdowns.
His long reception of the game was 23 yards, which would take him over this line in a single catch. We expect White to be use as a receiver and a pass catcher out of the backfield. Tampa Bay is loaded with running backs, so we should see multiple sets with two on the field at once, enhancing White's chances of going over this line.
The Falcons are 22nd in Defensive Passer Rating, so they must attack them through the air. This starts with White getting involved to help Baker Mayfield.
Brock Purdy Over 239.5 Passing Yards
Brock Purdy is third in the NFL in passing yards, which is very impressive considering he hasn't played with Christian McCaffrey all season. He has thrown seven interceptions, and may throw a few on Sunday night, but he is set up to throw for a ton of yards.
The Cowboys have looked terrible on defense all season. Their pass rush isn't threatening and they have been horrendous in the secondary.
Dallas is 25th in Defensive Passer Rating, 25th in Defensive Real Quarterback Rating, and 26th in Defensive Real Passing Yards/Attempt. The team is blaming the tours in the facility for their incompetency. That's how you know things are bad...
Patrick Mahomes Over 233.5 Passing Yards
Patrick Mahomes has destroyed the Raiders over his career. He is 10-2 and has averaged 297 yards per game with 2.5 touchdowns, and he only has four picks in 12 games.
The addition of DeAndre Hopkins adds another weapon for Mahomes to work with, and the Raiders also aren't good on the defensive side of the ball.
The team is 20th in Defensive Passer Rating and 22nd in Defensive Real Quarterback Rating. They're also 30th in Bendability, so they're not making opponents work hard for points.
Mahomes hasn't been great this season. He has six touchdowns and eight interceptions, but he has surpassed this line in two of his past three games. When all this combined with the Kermit the Frog bulletin board material from training camp, it makes me love the over.
